St. George’s is teaming up with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church to provide meals to homeless families on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 6:00 PM while the warming shelter is open. We cook the meal at St. Paul’s that Sunday afternoon. Chef’s assistants are needed as well as volunteers willing to serve the meal at the shelter at 6:00 PM. You do not need to do both. We also need people to bake cookies. A sign-up sheet will be in the Parish Hall each Sunday service.
Recovery and Support Group Meetings
St. George's hosts meetings for Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and Al-Anon throughout the week:
AA: Monday through Friday at 12:00 Noon
Tuesdays at 7:00 PM
NA: Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:00 PM
Al-Anon: Saturdays at 9:30 AM
Monthly Senior Luncheons
Our monthly Senior Luncheons are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in St. George's Parish Hall. A $3.00 donation is appreciated. Reservations are requested; please contact the Church office at 831-449-6709. As with all our ministries, we share the same goals for our church and our community. We hope this ministry will eventually provide a daycare facility for our seniors.
Upcoming Bible Studies
The "Eat Pray Love" group meets at St. George's on the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00 PM in the St. John's Room. Bring a dinner or a snack, whichever is most comfortable. Contact the Church office at 831-449-6709 with any questions.
Garden boxes are open to anyone in the community; church membership is not required. A donation of $15 per box per year is requested to cover the cost of water and expenses.
